Music in Movies and Video Games

2 Aug

Let me introduce you guys to Hans Zimmer.

If you’ve seen Inception, The Dark Knight, Pirates of the Caribbean series, and The Last Samurai, then you’ve listened to his music.

Most people ignore the background music when watching movies or playing video games.

The next time you watch a movie, stay for the credits (or pause the game) and sit back to enjoy the music. It might be iPod worthy and you might even learn a thing or two about orchestral music!

I used to deliberately expose myself in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, just to listen to the Alert theme. One of my friends actually has Ken’s theme from Street Fighter as his ring tone.

To end this note, I’ll leave you guys with taste of Zimmer’s badassery. And I assure you, it IS pretty badass!

This is “Mombasa” from the movie Inception

P.S. Make sure to check out “Time” by Hans Zimmer. It’s currently the second most viewed and listened to film score on youtube. You’ll see why!
